A long time coming by Active Autowerke

What's up everyone, I've been waiting for this day for awhile now. My e46 was the first BMW I've owned and fell in love with it. Since then I've bought several older BMWs each with their own driving characteristics. Anyways, without further due, my AABLOWN e46 below, non pun intended.

AA stage 6 level 1

THANKS Viral! and everyone at Lutz!

Looks great.

Is that the level 1 intercooler or did you upgrade it?? Thats the intercooler I want. There is a thinner one that was included in the 1.5 and 2 kits in the past that dosent fill up the hole in the front bumper as well as this style does I feel. And then ive seen this one too. Looks like the old stage 1 Intercoolers, but is taller up top.

And does that air box cover and tubing etc. come included in the kit now or did you option for that??

everything is level 1. Its a refurb kit. I opted for the airbox, dont think it came with this kit when it was offered.

I try to never negatively comment on someone's build, but i'm just trying to see the benefit of cutting out the bumper support to accommodate a huge FMIC, when half of it is useless, as it's being covered by the bumper. Great looking car and nice build though. Congrats!

valid point. Unfortunately I'm stuck with what came with the kit. However my e36 bumper was cut to accommodate the large FMIC

this is how the car currently sets after the Stoptech install. BUT, those wheels are on their way out. Just pulled the trigger on NT03 in silver 18x8.5f and 18x10rs ! Tires will be Dunlop DZIIs.

Rob,

Fair comment.

Air does funny things though, not obvious to the eye. I wouldn't be surprised if air was being pulled up there, from negative pressure behind it. Or, being pushed up there from a high pressure across the face of the lower part of the IC.

In any case, if they found lower IAT's from the larger core, that's a good part of the equation.

I seem to remember Taza's intercooler being the first one done like this by AA...a few years back when he first went turbo.
