I just love the detail my 50mm can produce on this one.

most of what I shot this year was for clients. will definitely go out next year and shoot more.

Is this a composite or did you have a few strobes set up?

It's a tough call, I'd say these three are some of my best, but my favorite ones aren't technically as good, but remind me of some good experiences. This one in particular, was probably my favorite moment I got to experience, getting stuck in a snow squall up in Tahoe with a broken airplane right as the light faded, needing to find a way to fix the plane to get my good friend home by the next morning. This one is also one I really like, but no one seemed to agree, so I don't know what to think.

The City by the Bay by k2pilot, on Flickr
This was my first time really going flying with the Leica, the results were very encouraging.

My Lovely Lady Friend by k2pilot, on Flickr
I think this one is the start of something new and important in my life.

Columbia Gorge by k2pilot, on Flickr
This one was also coincidentally taken while I was stranded in portland with a broken airplane killing time (seems to be a theme), one of my favorite experiences in aviation so far. The rain started to shroud everything, followed by a encompassing darkness with just us in this hangar on a dead silent airport replacing a bad FMU (fuel management unit), eventually departing back home at 2AM into the stormy skies.

I use to take about 50k photos a year. I think I took MAYBE 5K and 4K of those were of my newborns in the past 2 months.
