Help with CCV DIY?

Has anybody here done the CCV DIY who would be willing to help me with it? I've got a bit of an oil burn problem and I've already done the VANOS/VCG, so I suspect the CCV is on its way out.

Help with CCV DIY?

It wasn't to difficult just time consuming. The pipe that fits through the intake manifold too the longest to clip in. I think if I were to do it again I would change my oil filter housing gasket at the same time to have more room to work. Overall very easy job, just make sure to buy the whole kit because depending on mileage most likely all the hoses are deteriorating. Lastly make sure you buy the rubber washer for your oil dip stick tube. When removing the dipstick to replace the oil return line you will need to put a new Rubber washer. Be carful when removing the Oil dip stick as I have heard of some people pushing the washer down into the oil pan. If you need help let me know. Good luck

Good call on the cold weather kit. How many of the other "while you're in there" bits have you all done? Looking through the OP in the following thread, there is quite a list of things to do, and I'm curious to know what your experiences are.

OFHG for sure. PS reservoir and lines if leaking or if the reservoir has not been changed.
