Why the hell would you want to work on Wall Street? High stress. New York is a clusterfvck...getting from point A-B is enough stress to enrage you.

People on Wall Street get to participate in the biggest financial transactions in the world, and they get paid a ton in bonuses/commissions for outperforming their peers.

If you're a competitor, and you like to make money, there's no better industry in the world, IMO. If you're too stressed to perform at your best, good news - you're already fired.

Try navigating New York again in a company-sponsored car service to your swank apartment -- you might find it a little easier.

a good friend of mine and a fellow mechanical engineer, well former, has done pretty well on wall street. he has been involved on both sides. might have heard of him, neel kashkari. aka the $700 billion dollar man. he gives a lot of credit to his education and years as an engineer in developing the critical thinking he has used in the financial sector. an engineering background will set you up to do about anything well. except make coffee, that is what interns and LAS majors are for.
