How is it " bad luck" the guy didnt look in his mirror and turned in like he's the only one on track

He's 61 points behind his team mate. Better off with Nasr in the car

Oh, snap.

Quote:
Fernando Alonso says it is important Kimi Raikkonen starts scoring more points for Ferrari to stop the team sliding down the constructors' championship.

So far this season, Alonso has scored 97 of Ferrari's 116 points as Raikkonen struggles to get to grips with the F14 T. With Raikkonen failing to score in Germany while Alonso was fifth, Williams – courtesy of second place from Valtteri Bottas – moved ahead of Ferrari in to third place in the constructors' standings.

Asked what the difference has been between himself and Raikkonen so far this year, Alonso replied: “I don't really have an opinion on that.

“Obviously the car is not great and we lack some downforce and traction. We had difficulties with braking at the first couple of races with brake-by-wire and other systems that we had new this year. Probably he was not feeling confident with the car and he was not totally happy with the balance.

“But at the moment we are not super happy with the performance, either him or me, and we try to keep improving to score more points because, especially with the constructors' championship, we are going backwards a little bit and we need to put both cars in the points as many times as possible.”

However, Alonso said the reliance in the team for direction was not focused on one driver more than the other, adding that Raikkonen is not looking to him for help.

“Definitely we work a lot together and the meetings are quite long this year because we have a lot of things to sort out after the races. We have been constantly making suggestions and comments about what we have on the track and try to help the engineers to transfer that to Maranello to translate those comments into ideas for the car.

“It's not a big change compared to the work I have done with Felipe [Massa] and any other team-mate, it's always a working relationship to try to help the team all the time.”

Fernando lol. He is a great driver and will usually have the upper hand on any teammate. Kimi is more prone to not give a fvck if he is not in a good car or good position, so part of Kimi's issue is motivation.

If these two were in Mercedes you would not see Fernando dominating Kimi, IMO.

I think we would.

The kimster has suddenly stepped up his game. I wonder who (or what) motivated him this weekend? Maybe a visit from Montezemolo? Roasted in the Italian press? Feeling insulted by reality?

Kimi's out in Q1.

Hamilton's Merc blew up in the outlap in Q1. He'll start last on a track where he's won 4 times. Should be an entertaining drive.

Hungary is a one-line parade, so he'll do well to get a top ten.

It was a great one. Mixed conditions always shake it up. Hanilton continues to impress.

He also went off track, and nobody who got retired would have stood a chance against him. If Nico would have had one more lap he would have taken it from Hamiton.

True, but his task would have been much harder on a dry Hungaroring. Even the backmarkers would have been a bitch to pass.

Fernando has, as he always does, been overdriving the car. He is getting better results than the average driver could, behind that wheel. The shame is Kimi's performance. He needs to step up!

meh, Kimi has no motivation. He doesn't care to be the best or win everything. If they fire him, he will just dick around in rally or whatever driving he likes.

He already announced that 2015 is his last season. His car and Alonso's are far from equal though.
