Lol that's admirable and selfless. Granted this us how the world works now, I'm glad I have a bit more dignity than that.

Meh, I think there's a selfless, take-care-of-our-fans-first aspect to it. But I think there's a self-serving aspect, too. Not only what I mentioned about needing public support for big stuff like a referendum on a new stadium, but also season ticket sales and jersey sales and such. And I don't see it as a dignity thing either way, so I don't know where you're going with that little jab.

I also think a small market team has to promote themselves differently than a big market team. Teams from big cities or densely populated areas can take a different approach because they've got the bodies nearby to do it.

Teams with a track record of success can leverage that even well outside their area. Look at the number of Packer fans there are around the country. Green Bay is small and that whole area is lightly populated. The only reason I can think of for their national popularity is the tremendous success the team has had over the decades.

Seattle is not a small town, but it's not huge, either. They have spent years being mediocre or worse. I assume Mr Allen is acutely aware of the Sonics mess. So it makes sense to me that they'd take extra steps to ingratiate themselves with the local fans and community. The team's ticket revenue is the same no matter who buys each seat (Seattle $s look just like SF $s), but having the locals happy with the team is for sure in the team's best interest.

So here's the poll breakdown by team:

39% think SF wins today. 25% think SF wins the Super Bowl

61% think Seattle wins today. 17.5% think Seattle wins the Super Bowl

36% think NE wins today. 21% think NE wins the Super Bowl

64% think Denver wins today. 36% think Denver wins the Super Bowl.

Hoping for good games today.

I want to see New England win. They're 4.5 point under dogs right now, and this week many on ESPN were picking the Patriots to win too

Crazy stat

" SF-SEA is 9th time since 1980 that top-3 NFL scoring D's meet in a conf championship. The previous 8 times, winner also won the Super Bowl."

I say Denver v 49ers in the Superbowl. But not sure who I think Will win, but I sort of want Broncos because I think this will be one of last chances manning will have to win.

Also, I think Andy Reid should win coach of the year, but good ole Billy boy in NE really did one Hell of a job this year

Manning is not fooling anyone on those hard counts when Ball is standing next to him not paying attention and fixing his socks.

Broncos really dominate the patriots and move onto the Superbowl.

And Talib again proves the keystone to the patriots defense

I can't believe they put that jackass on camera. Isn't that why they do a few second delay to screen for things like that?
