Maybe the guy brought a gun to protect himself in case of a theatre shooting, like so many of you suggested (This wouldn't have happened if ppl had guns for protection in the theater). Then in a fit of rage fired the gun himself instead.

Just as dangerous either way.

this is exactly why I bring a firearm everywhere including movies and try to de-escalate situations.

I guess the sheep would feel better if he got his necked snapped, punched to death or stabbed.

Ex-cop... Anger issues... No surprise

Pull his LE record.. I bet he has numerous complaints

He retired in 1993 in Florida. Bet most of those "complaints" were yelled in between baton thumps.

Kinda off topic, but I'm from Ames Iowa, where a cop just shot a unarmed teenager this summer for "stealing" his dads truck. I think this militarization of P.D.'s is going too far. I know not all cops are like that, but still makes you think.

I don't think "protect and serve" is a accurate slogan anymore.
Are you referring to that sweet innocent teen who rammed the cops after flipping out because his dad wouldn't buy him smokes?

So one person out of thousands today alone dies of gun violence and that is enough ammo (pun intended) for the libs to rally around gun laws? Huh.

Lol, it's naive to think that there was only *one* gun related death today.

Yeah, I'll bet a bunch were killed in Chicago and DC. Wait, no, I'm lying. Those are gun free zones. Just like movie theatres.

Best case. Still an unnecessary death. They should have had a fist fight. An, no JonJon, not the same likelihood of death.

It is certainly possible that the shooter had a long history of issues, and if I had to bet a quarter on it right now, I agree with you.

However, it's also possible that when the whole story comes out, we're going to find out that the texter threatened to kill the shooter, the shooter thought the thrown popcorn was an attempt to distract him while the texter drew his gun, it was too dark inside the theater to know the texter was unarmed, the texter is 6' 5" and 280, the shooter is 5' 7" and 150 (and 71), .

If this guy wasn't a former LEO, you'd be giving him the benefit of the doubt until all the facts come out.

You're correct. Hands and feet kill more people every year than all shotguns and rifles combined together. Long guns is what everyone fears and want to ban so why I mention it.

Fist fight? Cause that never kills anyone, lol
One example of thousands.

Smh, I'm pro gun. I just think it should be hard as hell for Joe Sixpack to get one. I don't trust most Americans with a dull butter knife let alone guns.

I'm not pro gun, I'm pro choice. Don't care if you want one or not, just don't get in anyone else's decision. You want to live in a world where its 100 times easier for a criminal to get one than a law abiding person? You're not pro gun, stop kidding yourself... You're pro yourself
Wouldn't be surprised if you were registered D.
Do as I say, not as I do
