My Ride: 330Ci M-Sport
330Ci M-Sport with Style 68 with spacers?

A lot of threads and a lot of questions but I still couldn't find any good answers...

So the question is what is the correct spacer set up for a 330Ci M-Sport with staggered Style 68 wheels?
- 7.5x17" ET 41 Front with 225/45/17 tyres, spacers xx mm?
- 8.5x17" ET 50 Rear with 245/40717 tyres, spacers xx mm?

And no, I do not intend to roll the fenders nor to use narrower tyres at the rear.

Yep thanks. Been through that thread quite a few times. Its great stuff if you wanna go with 225 tyres in the rear but what if you wanna stick with the standard 245 rear tyres?

If you measure the distance between the outer side of the wheel and the inside of fender with a straight edge it will give you that answer. Just subtract a couple of mm's for suspension travel

On a sedan, 15mm spacers front and 12.5mm spacers in back is safe. I used to have 15mm in the back but as soon as installed M3 balljoints with the same alignment specs (camber) the 15mm started rubbing. so I swapped front and rear. Did not want to roll. The rubbing was very minor. Maybe 1 or 2mm off. All it did was rub dirt off.

So on a coupe that has a wider rear body (very slightly) i'd say 15s would be safe both in front and rear. thats w/ stock 68s and stock tire sizes

mine is a 325i wagon running style 68mm - what spacers can you recommend and where to buy? do i need to change my lug nuts too?

You need new lug bolts with any significantly sized spacers (> 5mm probably).

It depends on the type and width of the spacer you wan't to go with whether you need new bolts or not. Anything below 15mm will be spacers that fit between the wheel and hub and they always require longer wheel bolts. If you go with 15mm+ you have a choice of spacer types. The most common is the one where the spacer goes between the wheel and the hub and you replace your existing bolts with longer ones. The other option is to use spacers that bolt to the hub with special bolts (included in the set) and provide new threaded holes for the existing wheel bolts.

There are numerous good choices for spacers. One of the most well known and respected is H&R which you can buy through most tuning shops. I'm sure your US forum buddies can advice where to buy them. I went with 15mm bolt on spacers. They are German made by FK Automotive. However, I don't think they sell their products in the States.

Yep, there is no need as such to use spacers with Style 68 wheels. It's all about looks and perhaps a slight edge on the drive feel on track

Has anyone been ballsy enough to install 255 on rear style 68's installed the front? I'm currently looking at this sheet and thinking I might need spacers. Unfamiliar with spacers and seem like more trouble than I'd like to get into

I mean 255 isn't going to be an issue. Plenty of people have the rear 68s on the front for a square setup. Most ate using 245s but 255 isn't too wide for the wheel and I doubt it rubs.
