Wasn't the Lexus SC just a bad copy of the E24 6-series?

The E46 M3, not necessarily the E46 generation.

I say this, and it's opinion, but safety features, DSC, the M differential, SMGII (it's a dinosaur now), the S54s power per liter, and the of course the styling. Looking back at 2001 and other sports cars/sports coupes of that year, the M3 was practically in its own class. It was as other folks described it, the new benchmark for other sporty cars to measure against.

The Original Mini, still can't get used to the BMW one. Might have seen a very brief clip of the Astra GTE Digital dash on Hammonnds 1.4SRi

The Chevrolet Corvair had a rear-mounted, air-cooled, horizontally-opposed six cylinder engine 6 years before the original Porsche 911 appeared. Even had an automatic trans available - something the 911 didn't have until 30 years later.

Unless you consider the fact it was an unsafe, unreliable, and unwanted failure for Chevy. If it wasn't leaking oil, burning down, or getting into wrecks, I guess it was a good car. Hey GM, leave Aircooled to VW. (LOL, VW had pretty much all those issues.... I digress)

Corvair was not an unsafe car. And it had many advanced features. It just suffered from unfounded lies.

AMC Eagle.

Now just about every family has a crossover of some sort, whereas back 30 years ago it was unusual to have a slightly lifted AWD car/wagon.

After they changed the rear suspension design, it was very good. Not sure what year that was....
