Modern American Conservatism in action. Endless whining about spending money on welfare, but enthusiastic approval when millions are spent to keep that one freeloader from getting $200 a month for food.

You republicans are a riot.

Yeah, what happened to fiscal conservatism? I thought it was all about what's best for the country, economy, whatnot...

Am I to think that maybe Republicans want to reduce social program spending for reasons other than fiscal conservatism and sound economic policy?

What do you mean? Is there really no such thing as "compassionate conservatism"? Was that just more republican propaganda?

That is a little extreme, but the definition of insanity is repeating the process and expecting a different outcome.

I'd prefer to see teach those food stamp freeloaders a lesson by sending millions of tax dollars to drug-testing clinics. But only if those clinics are owned by a republican governor's wife. Preferably the wife of the republican governor that passed the drug-testing law.

Suppose it belonged to the wife of a Democrat, would you feel differently?

Personally, I don't care who is doing it as long as it's being done. Does it matter to you that a friend of Michelle Obama got a no bid contract to set up the Obamacare website?

How few people must there be who are abusing the system until trying to get every last one isn't worth it anymore.

If there are only 2.6% who failed, a smaller percentage than drug use among the general population, how small must that percentage get until you say "OK, that's close enough. We don't need to waste any more money?"

1%? 0.1%? Is there ever a number? If 1 person is doing drugs out of four thousand or so, must we drug test all four thousand?

Explain to me fiscal conservatism again?

Is that anything like lying your way into war so your vice president's company can collect billions of federal tax dollars while US troops die by the thousands?

I hate it when you give these guys an opportunity to talk about Bush instead of actual topics.
