Wapner,

I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. You get an A for an effort! I really thought the pairing switch would of done it. If you wouldn't mind, explain how you did the pairing process. Thanks.

Sandman, I did all the correct methods mentioned here and beyond. The turn the ign switch to on(not running) tried pos 1, pos 2, etc. depress 3 seconds etc. So many attempts, must of been seriously 50+. Even read some posts to close door, have seat belt on, hang chicken feet from rearview mirror while praying to the bluetooth gods, still no love. Nothing ever changed on display from the ole No phonebook found or whatever it kept saying.

Gonna order that bluetooth device from Christians site on Friday, and just go that route.

On a good note I now have Navcoder from this event, so now dabbling in that world a bit, I know that will come in handy some day.

Thanks again for all the help, and support Sandman, I really do appreciate your input!!

If you didn't already, try this.
1) Press the pairing button in and hold(NO key in ignition)
2) Insert and turn key to position 2.
3) Hold pairing button for 3-5 seconds until you here a beep, radio should say pairing mode.
From there, go on phone, make sure BT is turned on, discoverable and pair.

Good luck.

I figured you did. If I where you, I would contact the guy at Bimmer.nav.com. One, he might have some advice, two he might a ulf module that will work with what you have. You've come this far, so give him a shout. Good luck. Fwiw, I bought my stuff from him and the service was great.

Wapner,

How many metal boxes are in the trunk behind the trunk liner on the drivers side? I know this is going to sound crazy, but is the BT module definitely there?
