Tune up advise, power steering question on my 2000 328ci

I recently bought a 2000 328ci. And I would like to do a tune up on it myself because I'm not sure when's the last time anything was done to it, but I have a few questions. When I Change the spark plugs should I change the coils to?? Also about the transmission, I have 157k miles on the car. And when it shifts sometimes, it kind of shifts a little hard. I don't know if the oil was even ever changed so I was thinking I should and that could fix my hard shifting problem. But someone told me if I'm not having any problems with the transmission, not to change the oil in it because then I could start having problems. So what do you think about it? And what kind of trans. Oil should I use if I do change it. Also my power steering pump is making a noise, you hear that over the engine. When I drove the car home I noticed the p.s. Fluid was low so I added some. But then I noticed it was really thick and not the right color so I drained it and flushed it with like 2 gallons of fluid. But it's still making the noise. What should I do about that? Also what else should I do to it as a tune-up to make sure everything is good and working? Thanks I would really appreciate some advise.
