Does your cd player (not changer) skip a lot?

When I have copied cd's in, it seems to skip a lot.... any little scratch can screw up the whole cd...

sometimes even original cd's can skip a lot... seems like its happening more and more everyday? maybe i should clean the cd player? can i do that?

Yes yes yes! :(

I find this to be very annoying. Mine skips quite a bit and with normal retail cds. I have never had a car with suspension this stiff (SP) but it still seems unreasonably frequent.

Dealer did not "notice any skipping" when I asked them to check it during a service. I think the head unit just has embarrassingly poor shock tolerance.

Take care
