Post processing technique

I discovered this amazing photographer, Elena Shumilova, on 500px. I am wondering how she does her post processing because I absolutely love it. What do you guys think of it, and any ideas as to what she is doing?

I like how it looks other worldly, yet realistic at the same time. Some people on the internet have been calling it the Great Gatsby affect. There is a company that makes some PS actions called Greater Than Gatsby but from what I saw, it still doesn't achieve the same look as in these images.

I tried to get some tutorials on the Greater Than Gatsby but the only thing I've really been able to find is just how to make The Great Gatsby movie poster..

I saw that sight when I was looking but you have to buy those presets? The tutorials just show how to use their product.

The style I like the most is the example photo on the lower right for "lightroom presets" of the "witch" holding the rose

Are photoshop actions and LR presets basically the same thing for their respective programs?

Reminds me of the Dragan effect just not as dark. If you google "dragan processing" you can find guides

Yes.

Serge Ramelli on youtube is my go to for LR processing techniques. The guy is awesome and really great to learn from once you get to understand the French accent.

first things first:
- good lens, like the 135mm

- curves
- clarity
- additional blur (background)

It might be more noticeable on a portrait I'm not really seeing it in that shot.

I was just watching the Great Gatsby and tried to make it look somewhat like it! Unless the Greater Gatsby has no correlation with that?

Looks like she is very good utilizing and bending natural light. This is one item where someone takes a photo but because of lighting it becomes something more dramatic.
