Well, if they actually are selling what they are advertising the quality should be fine - they are Centric's standard rotor, and their standard ceramic pads.... and like you said, all 4... so one hell of a deal! I was interested in the set of 4, with the Posi-Quiet and black coating upgrades.

Got a call back from Anne at WSB this AM in response to a VM left last night. When I mentioned that I had posted on here, PMed and emailed, she was very apologetic - it appears that they haven't been getting notifications from this site. Anyway, she was pretty responsive, called me back a couple of times due to a poor connection on my side, and prepared an invoice right away. I've ordered a set of 4 F & R Centric slotted & drilled rotors, black zinc coating and F & R Posi-Quiet ceramic pads. Apparently they throw in 2 wear sensors as well. I'll report back on what I get; right now I'm banking on these guys being legit.

Hey, I called & talked to "Anne" today at WestBimmer, she was not aware of the fact that E46F forum members have been trying to get a hold of them. She told me the deal for $199 is STILL in effect, and would be for a while longer.

Everything seemed legit, I'll probably be ordering some "Premium Line" / StopTech 330Ci/I rotors from them (2 front & 2 rear) in the near future for $301.00 Shipped.

Good luck,
Rob43

Emailed them yesterday. They seem to be very hit or miss. We'll see if I get anything. Anyone have any follow up?

I literally just got off the phone with them. I left a voice mail and sent them a message through Skype over the weekend. I just got a call back, so I'm not sure which one the 2 options worked. But they are sending me a paypal invoice right now and will be shipping out the rotors tomorrow.

It looks like they are charging the same rate across the board, regardless of model. I went for the black coated, drilled and slotted rotors, ceramic pads and sensors. But the pricing was slightly off from the advertisement, so paid $250. Which is still MUCH cheaper than any combo I was able to put together with our other sponsors. If I had not heard from them today, I put together a package with ECS Tuning that was going to run me $380 shipped, for the same things.

It's purely for aesthetics. Still much cheaper painted, than any other options available out there. I'd say go for it. Especially if you still have the wheels in your sig, on the car. Would show off the rotors nicely.

Alright. Will probably do that. Got some money burning a hole in my pocket and though my brakes arent really that dead, they are extremely loud and I fear they may have walmart pads or something from previous owner. Ill put some more effort into contacting them later today. Thanks for the feedback

Same lol . Made the decision over the weekend to straighten and refinish my CSL reps as well as do my brakes while I'm in there. About to drop a grand on everything altogether.

I paid $250 for black with upgraded posi quiet pads. They shipped 2 days later and are on the fedex truck crossing the country. With a lot of donut stops.

He quoted me 275 for a 330. No upgrades other than black coating. Also, is that coating permanent? Like does it actually stay? Or does it wear off

You'd be better off spending for the Upgraded rotors at $301 shipped. The upgraded rotors are the StopTech "High Carbon / Premium Line" units, then just add the StopTech Pads.

StopTech Pads:

Good luck,

CarbonZHP, I believe the black zinc coating is applied to the whole rotor, but of course the friction surface will wear off and become silver. However, the hat, the vanes, and the slots should remain coloured and protected from rust.

Rob43, I'm not sure if there is a real difference in the product between the Centric line and the Stoptech "Premium" line. In fact, as typically the Centric-branded product does not come drilled/slotted, the "Centric" D&S rotor may actually be the Stoptech product but in a white unbranded box. I find that in brake rotors much is marketing-driven, and I've purchased many a white-box brake that has "Brembo" or other "premium" stampings on the actual disc.

For the difference in price, and the fact that I am not tracking the car, I felt that the Centric was the more cost-effective choice, and may actually be no worse than the Stoptech rotors.

Pads are a different story, and your choice should be driven by your desired outcome - I wanted factory-like brake feel and performance with lower dust (damn 135M wheels!). From the research I did, it seems the posi-quiets were a good bet for me. The Stoptech pads sound like excellent (and better) performers, but with lots of dust.

Thanks orange. Ive kind of felt the same way, since i knew centric was just the conpany that owns stoptech. I'm not too worried about the feel, anything will be better than what I have right now. No bite whatsoever and the loudest pads ever. Right now debating on standard vs upgraded rotors. This Is a 275 vs 350 decision
