I received my gm5150 today. Ordered on Wednesday. Did the install. Took a little longer than expected but only because of me dropping a part and having to take a few pieces back out to find it. This is an amazing unit. No issues so far. Bluetooth call quality is amazing. Fitting everything back there was tough but I have 0 install experience other than aux cable for my old factory unit and I still got this done.

Be careful as there are other "vendors" selling eonon product but you will have difficulties reaching them if you encounter issues, seen couple people posting issues and ebay seller not responding.

If you are starting from scratch (taking trim out, OE unit, A/C relocation braket) and you are inexperienced with stereo installs, I would say roughly an hour.

Took me an about an hour even tough I had already taken out the trim, OE unit and had done the A/C relocation before receiving the GM5150; but I also did the reverse camera install from scratch, hook up my Subs and did my SMG paddle retrofit(wiring only), I also pulled the unit twice because the Ipod cable would get disconnected, OH and I was a bit hangover from the previous night!

Eonon,

Have you receive any updates from your tech team regarding how to program the steering wheel controls, if it can be done at all?

As I stated before, when I'm trying to program, it will say to long press the button desire but once you press it, it will do its default function.

Are the a/c relocation kit interchangeable in all models?

I don't think they are, could be wrong. I did saw someone asking this same question, can't remember what people replied. Someone also stated to get the individual slotted bracket and if it was the wrong one, to just trim it?

Maybe someone else could verify this?

Coupe/sedan are interchangeable.

You have to take into consideration only three things:
-do you have smoker's package? smoker's / non-smoker's
-do you have single slot cutout? single slot (16mm hight) / multi-slot (18mm hight)
-do you have left-hand drive car? left-hand drive / right-hand drive

Those kits are differentiated by only one more thing: does it hold A/C unit or sunglasses compartment. We, obviously, all want the one for A/C unit, which is the purpose of buying the kit.

Either of these should work depending if you want to retain the use of the lighter/outlet. I ordered one (with smoker's package) from Bavarian Auto, and it is currently on back order. Just FYI
51167001410: Single cutout version w/ smoker's package
51167001408: Single cutout version non-smoker's package

Fairly easy to install. One thing that you need is the antenna adapter. The one provided is no good and causes a lot of static after a better antenna adapter the thing works beautifully minus the annoying squeaking sound It makes when changing the channel or every time you touch the screen to change something.

Looks nice! Yes, you do need to buy the Metra antenna adapter for better reception. Also, if you go to settings you can turn off "system sound" if you dislike it.

I received my unit in the mail the other day and am hoping to get the car out this weekend. What do I need to install? I'm thinking I need the antenna adaptor, the relocation kit and an ipod adaptor of some kind. Does that pretty much cover it?

It's comes with an iPod adapter. Don't really need anything it's basically a plug and play kit. The boom mic wire was abit short though if you follow how the video shows you to string it.
