I am sort of selling a similar car, 05 AW smg with competition package fully loaded. I do have a quite a bit more miles(82,000) and some mods. Your car is not well priced for a "quick" sale. If you can wait a couple of months, i'm sure an enthusiast will come and buy it for very close to what you are asking.

Please keep in mind I'm not trying to offend, just saying what's based on the current market.

Good luck either way, i hope it finds a buyer as it seems to be an extremely fine example of well taken care of M3.

If it was 6 speed manual this car would be sold by now. With that said I think the car is priced close to its worth. A decent offer should make both parties happy. Ignore the clowns offering blue book, if blue book is so reliable someone please find me an e30 m3 for blue book, let alone any low mileage e46. Just a week or two ago someone had a zhp up for 19k.

Big difference betwen 27k vs 80k. You can find 30-40 cars with 80k but youll be hard pressed to find more than a few with miles this low throughout the country.

I understand, and i do agree. My car does have a competition package which is somewhat unique as well. So it's a toss up really.

I agree, the car might be more desirable for an M enthusiast, and maybe not the normal buyer. I am willing to work on price, just not 10k off =)

Everyone knows that KBB/Edmunds don't have accurate values for these cars. A certain other forum has a great "what did you buy or sell your M3 for" thread. Cars of this year/mileage/condition tend to sell between $23-30k, depending on the circumstances.

I have been looking for a good M3 for over a year.I can tell you this car for 17,00 is ajoke. It's worth at least 22-24 grand if not more.I am in the process of buying an 04 with 75000 km approx 46000 mi pristine condition for 22000 and am super happy to have gotten it for the price!Mr 17 grand has a long road ahead of him if he thinks he is going to find one in that condion for that price.Just my .02$

i agree with you. in my opinion the majority of buyers out there that are serious about these car just dont want the smg transmission. Not to offend anyone, but if it was a manual the car would probably be getting serious offers. Heres an 05 aw with 10k more miles and theyre asking nearly $36k. Granted enthusiast auto cars sell at a premium because they are probably the cleanest m3's offered online but taking that into effect, a near similar car offered for far less shouldnt be considered unreasonable.

To a buyer looking for a near mint example of a low mileage, alpine white, smg M3 this would be a great buy for them. The OPs price is $27k, but that's a starting ground. I'm sure he has a price in the back of his head that would seal a deal at this point. Stop being bitter that he didn't accept your lowball $10k less offer over a car you probably didn't go and see in person anyway. I'll bet any amount of money that if you met the OP in person you wouldn't have balls big enough to offer up $10k less than his asking price.

Everyone shut up and let the market run its course. You don't find cars with this low a mileage anymore, so it's worth a lot even as an SMG.

And yeah, duh, of course it'd have been sold by now if it was a stick. It'd sell for 35k if it was a stick. No point even saying that.

Mods, is there any chance of cleaning up this thread to not detract from it's original purpose?

Thanks

Just because someone is fool enough to pay something doesn't mean that's the true value of an item. I offered what 4 different pricing guides called for...and seller didn't want to hear it. Oh well.

You would think YOUR claims would be backed up by some sort of pricing proof...but I fail to see any.
No offense, but you are 100% clueless on how this works.

Any fool knows that "pricing guides" are all but meaningless is cases like this. You're not as smart as those fools.
