need help

I own a 2004 325xi, 5 spd manual and I want to, basically make it faster. For now, lets disregard price. Can someone please tell me the best way to increase my horsepower, without hurting my engine such as using nitrous or something like that. Also, I heard that because my car is an xi instead of say an i, that means that I cant supercharge or turbo my car, is this true?
Thanks in advance,
Alex

Ive tried Google and ive had a difficult time coming up with answers. For a supercharger, ive found VF, AA, and ESS. but for a turbo I only found hpf, although they are now out of business. Other than that, idk much else. And idk which of those is the best, and even if it is compatible with my car. This is why Im asking you guys to help me out.

The answer is to sell your car and buy an M3.

Dont sell your car.
Just bougth a 50.000 mile 330xi and its a fun car, very stable, has lots of grip.

Almost all of the supercharger kits can be fitted on E46 X cars.

You got 1 more option:

Supersprint headers, mid pipes, muffler
272/256 Schrick cams
Custom tune
This package will net you same power as that of stage 1 supercharger.
Will be more reliable. No belt issues, no oil leaks etc.

An Australian 325 owner did what I told above and he made 215 whp on Dynamics, thats like 247 whp on dyno jet.

Thanks for that link man. I just read the whole thing. Its quite confusing because some people were totally against it, while others were saying its completely fine. Im leaning towards the side that its okay to F/I my car, but with proper care and smart driving. Only problem I have now is, which company do I go with?

get a set of schrick from VAC or other dealer.

get supersprint from a dealer.

the hardest part is to get in touch with the tuning company.

This would seem like the first place to look for what u are asking on this forum, but you would definately be better served on the Xi forum. There are members there who have upgraded. Also check the boosted registry.

If you want to go FI Route, ESS Twin Screw is a good choice.

ESS has a US Distributor, just contact him.

Add the complete supersprint exhaust.

Thats it.

It is possible to Supercharger your vehicle, our Supercharger Kit can fit on your vehicle some modifications are needed if the vehicle does not have the M Sport Package to allow air to flow from the front of the vehicle to the intercooler. I will shoot you a PM with more information.
