So, what's your point ? A stock 2.5L Bimmer motor is plenty strong in stock configuration, it can handle a progressively controlled single nozzle shot up to 75 WHP. And that statement has nothing to do with the strength of the stock internals.

We are living in changing times my friend, there's a lot of new blood on E46F that has no idea what guys like you have done for this forum. Let alone know how to use a search button to see what we have accomplished to show some modicum of respect.

That was my idea before, but after talking to tech from ZEX and NOS who make very clear that plastic intake manifolds are not recommended for direct port. I went safe with the single nozzle and now what seems to be right for the techs at ZEX and NOS isn't right for all of you guys. The results of trying sometimes ends up being screwing up.
Who would you believe a guy that does it for a living or a guy simply using nitrous on his bimmer?

So should i settle with the single nozzle for a 40 to 50 shot or spend more money and go direct port for the same results?

I LOVE that WON video! That was one of my favorites.

People think nitrous is just for idiots street racing. I'll be pushing 24psi pretty soon. I don't street race and will be making more power than Bimme323 (no offense). It's all about enjoying your car. Spraying on the on-ramp or for a pull for kicks, or heck, the straigthaway on a track is no different than going WOT and making full boost. You just have to fill up your bottle on occasion.

Have fun, BE SAFE. Monitor your system. I didn't TOUCH my tune on my Evo until I had a way to log my boost (as my gauge is at least 1psi off) and my A/F.

Glad to see you back on the board, Rob.

I understand your analogy and where you are coming from. But I have owned vehicles with Nitrous, Supercharger and Turbocharger System. I am just replying from my personal stand point.

That angle on the nozzle has me a little worried. Op, I would not rely on a wideband too much with juice. Sure, it's a tuning aid, but that's all it is. I would pull plugs and check them. I have seen too many times the readings on the WB be thrown off by cam overlap and such. Do a test hit, pull the plugs. I would start with 1 step colder plugs, although maybe not required for the 30 shot, single tip. Search on side gaping and back cutting the plugs also.

Good luck with your setup.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't it not the brightest idea to place a combustible nitrous bottle directly behind your seat?

I commend you for doing the work yourself but I too fail to see the point of this. With the amount of power cars are coming with now I can't see this really adding any real benefits that out weighs the risk of blowing your motor or yourself up. You would probably have trouble taking down a bone stock Camry while spraying nitrous.

Alan

You do realize that nitrous by it self is NOT flammable.
