what a mildly tuned s54 should put down - dyno

stock engine, stock intake, stock cams, stock euro headers, stock pulleys.

Custom Tune (DONE IN AUSTRALIA, not some mail tune) and exhaust work.

- Uni group are highly regarded and renowned for there dyno accuracy. They do some amazing stuff on the j_a_p scene.

- To put into perspective a 370z with some form of tuning and bolt on's was up first and put down, 251 rwhp.

Then the s54 hopped on. The old girl knows how to hold her own.

I made very similar figures, but running an airbox, tune and aftermarket muffler.

yeah she would have been fairly fast. most stockers on ozi dynos (which by global standards tend to be fairly accurate) put down 250ish.

Nice numbers. My previous stock E46 put down 251whp.

With airbox and tune around 265.

yeah my s65, put down very similar to your numbers e9xm3, although i still run cats. the extra torque is welcome but the fun factor surely is a little less. i guess it goes to show just how good the s54 really is

Nice figure. Do you know what was done in the tune only?
However do bear in mind its a dyno dynamicsr, which apparently? reads a little higher than the other one

thx buddy, i sure do know, i had a large part to play in the tuning and tune a good part of my own cars myself. the s54 is very much diy friendly tunning wise.

im no expert on dyno characteristics but i do know what the 370 put down and i know uni group are renowned for the accuracy of there dynos.

sorry Jim, i forgot to tell you that interior you bought comes with a free tune to try, lol. next time im in melb, you can give it a try if you like.

dyno dynamics are good man. just not so popular in america because people like ess and vf and etc like to show potential buyers there 4 million horse power.

dyno dynamics dynos are not considered the "Heart Breaker" for no reason.

so if someone has installed a 4 million horse power ess or vf blower, best they dont get on a DD and instead refer to the box provided by the kit assembler, thus retaining the BIG MAD POWER HUGE gains.

ive seen countless vf and ess kits disapoint like one would not believe.

Try putting a car on a dyne systems dyno, lower again, it would break your heart and make you bleed from your eyes!!!

They have a 'true horsepower' reading, which is there branding, they claim their dynos have avoided the bumping figures war between manufacturers. Would be about 10% lower again than mustang.
