Wait, so BMW manufactured parts with factory M-badging is now fake?

The fine borderline between kitschy / cliché and desirable modding

Yes, if it's put on a non M car after the fact. No difference in that and putting 330 badges on a 325.

I guess all the little M badges on my ZHP that came from the factory all are fake too then?

Did they come on it, or did you put them on it? Another one who does not comprehend what he thought he read.

This is what you said earlier. You made no mention of anything coming from factory or not, just a blanket statement saying that all M-badged items, factory or not, make a car look poser/pimped/swagdaddy/yoloswaggins.

Re-read what I wrote! I said it came from the factory. Do you even know what the ZHP option is and what it includes? C'mon, all the BMWs you've own and still don't know? You should be ashamed of yourself for owning so many BMWs but have no idea what came from the factory or not. Or maybe you don't even own one. Am I'm getting warm?

Damn, can't you read? I said if you (emphasis on you) put them on, not what came on your car. What is so difficult about that?

No one cares about the ZHP except for ZHP owners.

Again, here is my original post. Note, it says, Putting anything that had the M logo on a non M car, not what came on your car. Now do you understand?

Question, if you bought a car used as the majority of car owners, and had no idea what was from factory and what was aftermarket, are you a poser? Or, if you bought a brand new F30 today, then when you have a little more money, you put in the M-Performance steering wheel, that makes you a poser, purely because YOU put it on as opposed to some dude in the factory?

Is this guy serious??

Typical ZHP owner trying to compare his car to an M.

While I understand what you're saying, where does it say "not what came on your car." in your original post?

Hah..trying to backtrack now, huh? Your exact word was "Putting anything that has the M logo on a non M car makes you a poser." Then you just added the "not what came on your car. Now do you understand?" after you look silly. Good job.

And that, my good sir, is why our friend's logical model falls apart so easily.

If this was even remotely sensible, then I'm technically an E46 owner who is posing as an E39 sport package owner (but only from the interior if you are just looking at the steering wheel)...yet who can also be mistaken for an E46 M poser, but really it's conditional upon whether or not I actually bought and installed the wheel myself...because if I didn't, I'm in the clear? Phew.

Stickbuilder, at this point I'm just busting your balls. End of the day we are all here because we love the same car. Let's leave petty differences in the dust where they belong and enjoy being car guys.

Anyway, now that we have established that anything one has to say about another man's car or what he chooses to do with it, is merely having an opinion (sometimes totally wrong but an opinion all the same), can we agree to disagree? Your car, your money, do what makes YOU happy. Because at the end of the day, if your car was on fire none of these guys who are quick to scream *****/poser wouldn't piss on fire to put it out. So why care?
