Rattling noise from drivers side rear when foot on brake

When the car is in drive and you are waiting at a red light or stop sign, there is a rattling sound coming from drivers side rear on a 330ci. I thought maybe it was something sitting in the trays in the trunk, so took everything out and the noise is still present.

We had the Turner subframe reinforcement kit installed last year by a reputable body shop. Hope this is not related. Anyone else having or heard of similar issue?

That could be coming from the muffler area. Check for loose parts and tap the muffler, might be something inside.

Same thing for me, sound coming from the rear, turns out it was broken engine mount... since my car is high mileage my drive shafts have some play in them and while idling the engine rattled the drive shafts.
