E46 m3 colours

What is your favourite m3 colour?

I have been searching for one for a long time and would pounce on the right AW or LSB car. However, I rarely see these colours for sale .

All I see are cars that are mainly CB, which I hate, as you cannot see the lines of the car, and that blue shade annoys me.

There have been a few other colours which I do like, but have not seen in real life. The 2004 onwards silver grey looks nice, but I have never seen this in person. It just seems to suit all the carbon bits you can put on the car. However, silver is such a boring colour.

Would it be worthwhile to get a CB any respray it to LSB?? It would probably kill the resale value though I guess

Depends on if your buying the car to enjoy or your planning to wrap in plastic like some old wog and sell in a few years

Interlagos Blue. Absolutely LOVE it.

Just like this:

On another note, Menty. What are you actually looking for in an E46 M3?

I love that too! It's just way out of my price range

I'm looking for
Under 100K
Smg or manual ok. If smg preferably pump replaced
Subframe reinforced or no issues so I can reinforce it myself
Bushes replaced , as the cars are getting over 100k now .
Full service history .
Csl bits would be nice but not necessary
Would rather no black . No Phoenix yellow
Csl dme flash
A set of proper coilovers would be nice

How's that for a list?

I've test driven Declan's and given him an offer. However I'm not so sure I want to sell the soarer after driving it again.
The only issues with his are it's black, and I find the kms a little high. It's perfect otherwise

Techno Violet. Yeah black does hide the lines of the car, bit of a shame. AW is always a classic. I do really like interlagos blue and imola red too.

Sounds good mate!

Well, I know that Declan has looked after his car, done all maintenance, so you know it's a solid car. I wouldn't be too concerned about the kms given the cheaper price and good condition.

Just something to note for any M3 owners looking at so called "higher km" cars.....I have a good friend with a 2001 manual M3. Car has over 200K kms on the clock and apart from normal maintenance and usual replacements (brakes, bushes, rear floor, tyres, etc) it's still running fine! Full BMW service history and original clutch.
Car's bodywork isn't the best, but mechanically it's spot on!

Given that Declan's car may be in a similar state (with much less kms) and obviously better condition, I think it's a good buy. Especially since it has been owned by an M3 enthusiast.

At the end of the day, it is ultimately your decision! My 2c.

Imola is nice, not too common, looks awsome with some carbon fibre accents and nice set of wheels.

The unfortunate truth is that you're either going to need to increase your budget by ~10k or agree to let a few of those things go.
