Average age of owners here

Being an old fart and finally got a Bimmer, just curious what the average age here is. I am amazed how much time others have to work on their Bimmer but either they have a very understanding wife/mistress, kids (if any), their single or their mega rich and don't have to work. With 2 kids in private college, I don't have the money or time to dump into mods whatsoever but I am totally happy with a stock Bimmer.

I'll start...54 yrs old!

Dude, this thread has been started before. It's been a few years, so you are probably okay in starting a new one, as we've all aged quite a bit since the last one.

I won't state my age, but I was born in 1960. Boolala, that should ring a chord with you. There are a few of us old folks on this forum. There are many more younger car heads that are getting a great (or abused) BMW at a bargain price.

Gee Irish, I thought you were old but I will be on medicare in July. Good thing about being an old fart, I only work about 2 days a week so have a lot of time to spend with the car and the boat.

38 with a wife and kid, I hear it all the time "you spend too much time in the garage with that DAMN car."

Hey, it's a better hobby than hanging out in bars right?

YES 1960 was a great year and I figured there would have been a age thread at some point but haven't seen one so I thought I would create one. Hell, these kids now a days own Bimmers--unreal! I was just happy to have a fricken car when I was 20 (actually I was busy fighting in the military in my early 20's). Back in those days only fat guys with cigars had Bimmers and smoked their cigars with their windows rolled up. Let's see, first car I bought was in 1981 (I was 21 and out of the house in the military) and it was a 1966 Impala Convertible that needed a new engine (and yes I bought a short block and threw it in and drove it the entire 5 years I was in the military)..

Nope I rolled it on a wet corner one night and very lucky to walk away with only a broken arm. Obviously it was toast after the roll.
