Pellet Gun

Hello everybody. Avid lurker on the general forum, just realized there was a separate gun forum.

So I have a few guns. Beneli nova pump shotgun, Saiga 7.62x39 AK 47, springfield Armory XDM .40, Tactical Ruger 10/22.

Who here has experience with single pump pellet guns? I have been just curious, but live in city limits but on a good size yard. over an acre, And don't go out to the range that often. I would like something like this to keep my accuracy up and to calm the temptation to go fire off 100+ dollars of rounds at the range. Any help would be appreciated, as in brands what to stay away from.

Thanks

My Ride: A car.
I have an inexpensive Gamo Delta (Single-Shot, 1 Pump, .177, 525fps).
Got it to plink in my Loft at the time, I had a 2600sqft open space in a converted commercial building so I set up a 50ft range with a couple pellet catchers at 30' and 50'. Good fun.

Many places consider air guns real firearms, so check that first. Wally mart had some that shoot around 1000fps. That is almost like a .22lr

A groomsman killed a horse with a gamo whisper .22 during my bachelor party. 100 yards, trying to make it jump over a fence. On my behalf I took the rifle from him when I found out what was going on. Found out the horse died sometime afterward they thought it was sick because it was covered with sores. That gun was no joke, it was like shooting a .22lr with sub sonic ammo.

At another friends bachelor party he steps out of the hotel and shows back up 15 mintues later with a dead peacock that he killed with a silenced .45. never did figure out where he found a peacock, said he wanted to see what it tasted like...

I mean WTF! Killed a horse and cooked a peacock!

Yes alittle offtopic but I cant tell one story with out the other lol

Check out the Beeman series. Go for something around 900fps for accuracy reasons. .177 is fast and accurate but .22 has more punch.

I was referring to the original made in Germany ones. http://www.amazon.com/Beeman-Air-Rif.../dp/B00J5SULIE

I had a old school Beeman with 22 super pellets...that thing was just as awesome as my 22LR single shot rifle guns now...besides pumping it up.

Back in the day, we had machine gun fully auto BB guns, slapped on a AC R14 canister if I remember, pour in about 200 bb's.....fricking awesome

Ahhhh, and my Red Ryder, Daisy, Crossman, Sheriden
