2015 Challenger Hellcat revving...OMG

OMG is all that needs to be said.

From the photos, it looks to be built as nicely as my dad's Grand Cherokee, and that says a lot.

Will definitely be on my short list for a muscle car purchase next year. I know it's not a handler, but I have the s2000 for that. I just want some flashy american muscle, and this seems to fit the bill.

Excuse me while I clean myself off after hearing that...

While the Challenger is a big Percheron of a pony car, they do, nonetheless, get a lot right with it. 600+ hps will get most anything scooting along at a good clip.

The 2015 seems to have everything one can want from american muscle...the looks, the noise, and now, a nice interior (thanks Italians) and electronics from this century (the 8.4" touchscreen used on all chrysler products IMHO is the best navi/multimedia system in any vehicle on the market right now.)

Can't wait to testdrive one as soon as they are out! Plum crazy purple FTW!

As stated, Im not looking for a track monster or a canyon carver....I already have a turboed s2000 which clocked in at under 2800lbs fully wet.

to each their own I guess... I know you said you just want flashy american muscle, but this just looks like another bloated sportscar to me

I think I'd put it into the GT category rather than a sport car...and IMHO, it has more presence than the vette. Obviously the vette is much faster around a track, but just cruisin around on a sunday with the wife? I think this thing in purple or lime green with that exhaust and motor is the sex. Im kinda bored with refined and precise...I want something loud and sloppy. After driving scalpels for the last 10 years (M3s and s2000) it's time for a sledge.

I'm seeing about 4,440lbs average.

In comparison the smaller 650i is 4,275lbs and the 650i 'vert is 4,520 lbs., so it's nothing out of the ordinary for something this big. Thankfully the brakes have been updated too. 391mm Brembos up front, 351mm rear.

It's like when people say how much of a pig the Camaro is. And while it's no lightweight, turns out the heaviest Camaro is still lighter than the 650i or E550 coupe.

My DD is a G37S with BERK high flow cats, straight pipe & intake. Sounds about the same, perhaps even louder.

I get pulled over 2-3 times a month just due to the sound.

No, no it doesn't. Your G37 sounds nothing like it, at all.
