Porsche engines sound great when caned around the track. Around town (neighbor has a 991) they sound like they are running on 2 cylinders with bad gas and a hole in the exhaust.

I would go so far as to say that the Challenger sounds better.

Spending more money on a slower car is for fools.

That sounds awesome.

To be honest, this is by far and away my favorite exhaust note ever:

Something about a V12 that just makes a sound that makes your spine tingle.

The clatter of a boxer engine is not appealing at all.

lmao people on the internet, you're making it sound like your car is a new catless SS Camaro. I've never been to a shop and bragged about "high flow cats".

thx for posting that shark werx and ferrari v12 and reminding me that when my current scalpel gets boring to upgrade to a better one; not make a silly decision and try to short cut my joy by buying a cheaper, "sloppy" (as OP put it) car.

On the list as well....but the vette is a real sports car...I already have one....I need a big, loud, good looking boulevard cruiser. My first thought was go old school, maybe a 57 bel air with a big block, then I was thinking about building a quality kit (Superperformance) cobra with my daughter (a tad too young still), then I saw a bunch of stuff on the 2015 charger, and got a chubby....lots of options, but this will NOT be a canyon carver or a racetrack vehicle...my s2000 fills both of those needs very well....I just want something fast, good interior space (have 2 kids now) mean noises, and street presence. I looked over on the challenger forums and these things look absolutely badass with a few mods.

That AMG sounds like ass. It has some great tones, but that "pop" makes it sound like it's trying to sh!t a piston. Stock AMGs sound a lot better....but again, nothing that I have heard sounds anything like American muscle....now, that doesn't mean it doesnt sound good (ferrari, porsche, lambo, aston, jag, etc) but it just isnt the same, and those that don't like the way american muscle sound will just never understand. I've stood next to a 572 Chevelle and when that thing revved your chest literally shakes....it was orgasmic.

Not sure what your deal is....I already owned 2 M3s, still own my s2000, a wrangler, and now want something I have never owned, which is an american muscle car. Im not monolithic, I like any car that's cool. If I wanted a new M3 or an AMG, I'd buy one, but right now, I have zero interest in them.

Just to clarify....in my PERSONAL opinion....

This is the car you drive if you own a bank...

This is the car Jason Statham would drive when he robs the bank you own....

If you think a silver 4 door sedan has the same presence as a challenger, you're nuts.
