I'm with Nanook on this one.

I've cleaned out my closets and drawers recently and have several hundred $s of stuff on CL right now. Have sold 4 items in 10 days for $140. And I'm a local-only, cash-only seller.

Now, I only put stuff on CL that I think might sell. It's decent stuff that I'm just not going to use anymore.

But still, it's either trash it, recycle it, Goodwill it or CL it. And I'm ok with getting cash for it.

I did post one for-free item and am surprised that no one has contacted me about it. Usually there are vultures circling to take something for free no matter what it is. We'll see.

I don't meet people at my apt though. Always a public place nearby. Ain't nobody needin to knowz where I lives. Esp not no CL crazies.

I just recently sold an old patio swing chair that came with my house when I bought it. Decided I was either going to trash it or sell it. I chose the latter and got $100 cash for it through CL.

I wonder how much my used fleshlight would sell for at a garage sale.

It's kind of hypnotic. I intend to use it liberally, when appropriate.

I live in Canada, where we don't have freaks like the 1-toothed Ozark mountain Men & Honey Boo-Boos as in Murica, so not worried.

'sides, I have my registered 6 foot spear to defend myself...

You have to register a spear? How long does it have to be to require registering?

No, I meant what length of spear requires one to register it? Yours is 6 feet. If you had a 4 foot spear, would you be required to register it?

any spears under 6 feet (err, sorry, 1.8288 metres) are considered concealed weapons in Canada & are not allowed.

spears must be registered if between 6-10 feet, & any longer, no need to register.

What counts as a spear? If my kid is outside playing with a broomstick and sharpens the end, does he now have a register-able spear?

Yes, and he'll be suspended from school. His participation trophy will have to be mailed to him.
