My Ride: 2005 BMW 330CI ZHP
Hello

Hey everyone, my name is Scott. Two weeks ago, I bought my second car, a 2005 330ci ZHP. I got the car from a local dealership, I'm the second owner, the car has not been in accidents and It's in near perfect condition. However my car has 145k on it and so I'm looking to make sure that the maintenance is up to date.

I noticed that the car has a slow coolant leak and that it's coming from a small crack in the overflow tank. Today I ordered a new genuine bmw overflow tank, and tranny thermostat, along with new hoses so that I can get the coolant issue sorted out ASAP.

I know that the thermostat, the waterpump, and the belts were replaced about a year ago by the original owner.

What else should I do for preventive maitinance or regular maitinance at the 145-150k mark?

I'm thinking I should change my fuel filter, drain the tranny and give it fresh fluid. Am I missing anything?

The car is running great, it's much more fun to drive than my last car ever was.

You are extremely lucky with that coolant leak. Most of the time the reservoir will simply explode and take out several engine components.

Yeah I'm revamping the entire coolant system on the car asap. Parts have been ordered and should be here any day.
