reputation system?

been thinking would it be better if this forum has some sort of "thanks" or "Repuatition" system?

like a button where they can click on someone post that helped them. that way we know who to trust and who not to trust etc etc

example:

- OP opens new thread "how to do an oil change"
- Someone answer the thread with great detail on how to do an oil change
- OP can click the thanks or rep button

Yeah a thanks button would be nice. I like how m5board has "likes". I do not support negative rep or down votes. Don't need this to be bmw reddit.

OP opens thread
OP- "Help I forgot how to oil!"
1st answer - "Search."

We have a 'like' system on our to-do list. Reputations with negative ratings isn't something we want to get into.
