Doc threatened to walk if sterling was still owner by beginning of the season. Cp3 and some other players talked about striking/refusing to play.

I didn't really buy doc quitting or cp3 sitting out. NBA made a huge stand against sterling, but can't control the timetable of the courts.

Personally, I think this was bigger than money for them. Not like they couldn't make it up after their strike, whether that be a week, month, or a year from when they started.

I mean, Doc was just planning on leaving. Not sure how that would work legally, but that is a separate discussion. Assuming he could, it's not unimaginable that Doc would leave in protest.

They wouldn't do $hit. Easy to talk now, in July. Come opening day, they'd be first to collect their checks. If they were going to quit/sit out, it would have been done when the news first broke.

Uh huh. In the middle of the playoffs before anyone knew what was really going on?

I don't think you know how much a championship means to them

how so? you're the one stating that a championship means so much to the clippers coach/players that they would not consider quitting in the middle of the playoffs regardless of the fact that they are playing for a racist owner. if they had won the championship last season, they would not only have won it for themselves, but also for sterling.

That's exactly my point...they want to play more than they want to sit out. Only way to win a championship is to play. You can't just quit because your boss is a dick, especially when there are contracts involved.
All this talk right now about sitting out/quitting is exactly that...talk. Again, if they REALLY felt that strong about it, they would have sat out during the playoffs. THAT would have sent a message.
