Lets do an experiment. Sit in the drivers seat, in your normal driving position, use a tape measure to get the rough dimensions from the tip of your nose to the center of each woofer. Email me those dimensions and ill make a guesstimate as to what your settings should be and explain what you should be listening for when you dial it in.
Sounds great Jeff. I will give you some measurements when I get a chance tonight.

The "store" is going to be more relevant to the european market as there are a lot of small dealers scattered around Europe and the site would automatically set your order up with your local dealer, some issues are still being worked out there so if and when it happens is still up in the air.....doesn't have much of anything to do with us here in the US. I see you are in Poland so if you are interested in the N6 just contact your local dealer.

The "apps" are for down the road....right now dynavin's emphasis is getting the N6 into production and getting everything shipped out, installed, and making sure the whole process is working 100%.

complains about igo??!!

Ive been selling it in all our units for a few years now and everyone seems to love it....but who knows, the situation may be different there, it probably varies a lot too depending on what device its being run on.

Jeff,

Do I lose OBC settings on the cluster if I install this? Also, they really have to go to the other clock format!

My measurements are:

FL: 36in (91cm)
FR: 52in (132cm)
RL: 56in (142cm)
RR: 64in (163cm)

It looks like you just enter in the distances? Should I do it as an offset from the closest one (ie subtract 91 from all the numbers)?

It's an offset... But you are thinking backwards....the numbers you enter in the delay settings menu are delays on each speaker expressed in centimeters. You will have the most delay on the speaker closest to you. So in your case you would subtract each dimension from 163cm.

So you end up with this:

FL: 72cm
FR: 31cm
RL: 21
RR: 0

Those numbers are a starting point but you will want to get you final number by using your ears. The goal is to create a solid aural image of each musician at a certain point in space on a a perceived soundstage. In a recording there are sounds and musicians to the left, the right, and the center, it's the center that we are concerned with here. Most of the time the drums and primarily the vocalist are in the center. We want to select a music track that has some space in it so we don't want a heavily overdubbed recording with lots of backing vocals....too much noise.

Set the fader to the front so we are only hearing the front pair of speakers. Enter the delay numbers above and put on some music. It should sound pretty good. Then raise one side of the delay settings, say the front left. As you do this you will hear the sound change, it will become hollow, out of focus, kind of a "in a tin can" kind of sound, your front speakers are now out of phase. Then lower the setting, as you pass the correct setting you will hear the sound come back into "focus", the vocals will move to the center of the car and become more solid. Keep going and you will hear it go out of phase again. Now go back towards you original setting again and listen as the music becomes focused again. Somewhere near the number we calculated above you will find the "sweet spot" where the vocals and bass are centered in the car and solid.

Then fade the rear speakers back in a little bit at a time until the sound is full and pleasing but not at the expense of the solid centered imaging. And that's it. Now you can play around with the EQ and other audio adjustments.

Try the above and if you have never hear a time aligned system you might be suprised by what you hear....it's a different experience than you are used to....

Let me know if you have questions....I've been running time alignment in all of my personal cars for....a long time now...

My unit that I ordered arrived yesterday and I completed my install today. I wanted to share a couple pictures. If you follow the instruction on on this site DIY you should have no problems. What I really wanted to share was my AUX and USB install.

I chose to put them there, under the rubber mat. I heated the mat with my heat gun to form a tab to make it easy to remove and keep anything from falling into the connection.

For some reason, I was thinking it possible to scroll through artists, albums, etc., while using A2DP. Is that not the case?

A2DP is Bluetooth based audio streaming, not an iPod interface. You CAN use the play/pause/forward/back functions but for full control and browsing you plug in.

Things are not looking good , my friends.
New N6 units not available to buy in eastern europe, oficiall seller not replying to emails, Dynavin website store section will be open 10th of july but today is 20th (maby is 10th july 2015 ?).

Cant wait forever, especially Apple carplay ang google Car are on the way. Dynavin should put ALL efforts to start selling units before big players but for some reason they are waiting. Very strange.

What about Jeff @ http://www.jandtdistributing.com/ ?

I bought my first Dynavin from him and was very happy back then (1st gen)

It says in his discription page to make an international order send them/him an email

Anyway i'm glad i live in Norway as i get a Us physically adress from Jetcarrier so if Jeff doesn't want to send to Europe it's no problem for me

hello, I'm from Germany (sorry for my bad english) I have in my E46 already a D99+. Well I ordered a N6 which I hopefully get this week.
Now I have two questions, which no one can answer me here in Germany...
Why are displayed in the E46 version only two temperatures in the ODB menu? With the D99+ also the range and the tank level were displayed. there will be an update?

can the progress bar in the ipod mode also ne moved to jump to a Position in a Track?

Hi Jeff

I've been following a thread to do with the N6 over on the "e90post" forum for additional information.

This thread mentions that the Dynavin needs an additional, permanent 12v feed that is not available via the multiplug harness on the vehicle. Apparently, the e90 version of the Dynavin comes with an additional extra long wire to carry this 12v feed, which is in addition to its main harness & muliplug. You show a picture of your particular vehicle's fusebox with this wire tapped in to provide this extra feed.

Is this additional 12v feed wire unique to the e90 variant, or does the E46 version of the Dynavin N6 have this extra wire as well?

Reason for asking is that the E46-D99 was just plug and play via the existing vehicle harness & didn't have any additional special power supply requirement.
