Sorry, that is not a good shot.
- Your front wheels should be turned so we can see the rim.
- The photo is grainy cause the lighting is low.
- The photo should have been taken of the other side of the car to take advantage of the sunset.
- If your intention was to shoot the shadows, then you need a much longer exposure and post processing to deal with the black car.

See how much better the car looks when facing the sunset, although the detail of the black car is lost.

You really need another light source to show off the car:

This is probably what you were going for... although it'll be hard to achieve with a black car:

Wheels are turned in the other photos, this is just the one he messed with before leaving.
We didn't bring his lights so we were using oncoming cars as a source. haha That last picture didn't come up, any other links available?
Besides the car placement advice, any editing recommendations? This was the first car he's shot.

Not sure if it's out of focus or grainy because of low light. It definitely has potential. I just think there's not enough light on the car itself

Try this: http://freehdw.com/wallpaper/chevrol...et-128753.html

He needs to learn to use the light better. With a black car he needs all the light he can get, or work with the shadows:
