High beams??

Are both inner and outer lights supposed to light up on high beam? My inner lights do illuminate for DTRL and if I pull the stalk back for flash to pass, but only the Zenons light up in the high beam position.

That is how the bi-xenons work, which is what you have.

You can turn off DRLs and otherwise alter the lighting with coding.

iPhone and BimmerApp

Xenon lights on
push stalk: shutter in xenon projector opens, allowing full/high beams
pull stalk: flash to pass; inner DRLs become brighter
stalk neutral: shutter in xenon projector closed, blocking the upper part of the beam for low beams

Thanks guys, I did a little more reading on them after I posted. Seems like a waste of a light. Can it be coded to function with high beams, or just rewired?

You can program both halogens and xenons to stay on when on high beam. I did mine a long while ago but if you have NCS Expert, let me know and I'll search for the coding.

Here is how it's done:

Look for PWM_WERT2_FL_BIXENON in the ALSZ module. Set it to wert_01

That just gives you the halogens on with brights. Fogs on with brights will get you a ticket.

eBay for the cable and the internet for the software.
Sometimes the cable will come with software depending on the seller you buy from.

The hardest part is setting it up, however this should help:

High beams and fog lights serve two opposite purposes, so it's kind of pointless to have them lit up at the same time.

Not at all.

I can see if anything is lurking in the sides, about to jump out in front of my vehicle, while also having excellent distance visibility. Not to mention I can better assess the black wet asphalt on rainy days.

"Fog" lights are useful in many circumstances besides foggy conditions.
