Quad projectors

I'd like to take my factory projectors out (lenses/housings damaged in accident but projectors fine) and replace the low beam of the projector 46's I just bought. (hate that chrome on black) has anyone done this... Posted on the light section a while back and no reply. I don't want bi-xenon or fxr (both of which I did see done before.) looked for diy's videos etc and couldn't find any.

How do you plan on configuring your "Quad" projectors?

Projectors have a cut off mask built in to give the lights a sharp cut off, this would not be good for high beams.

Assume you could modify/remove the mask for high beams, but if you plan on Xenon/HID in the high beam projectors, this would not be a wise idea. Xenon/HID has a warm up period, this is why there are bi-Xenon with the shutter for the high beams.

Halogens for the high beams would be the proper way to go because of the warm up window for Xenon/HID bulbs.

It would "work" if you just wired them up directly to the high beam wires, they both run a +12v and a ground. However the xenons are very clever and may need some other modifications because they have auto leveling sensors and other bits.

You can order a bi xenon retro fit kit from here and accomplish the same thing you are trying to do without heavy modification.

they look like this:

On these you can paint that chrome housing any color since it has no effect on the light that is projected out of the housing. You can go straight black if you wanted to.

Guys after installing the headlights... I really don't like them. I'm going to find oem bixenons and make some angel eyes that fit like they are supposed to. These predator 46s are 700 bucks worth of junk

Yeah I'm not interested in all that. Factory bixenons with good bulbs will be fine with me.
