2001 325CI shocks and struts

I need to replace the shocks/struts/springs in my 2001 325CI with 185k original miles on them. I would like to get a smoother quiet ride.

I don't have a lot of money to replace them at this time so I need a good economical recommendation.

My e36 cars keep eating up all the cash. Any help is appreciated.

Sensen is as cheap as they get, and they have decent reviews: http://apxautoparts.com/apx/sensenr-...-4-pieces.html

Wow, those are cheap. Anyone use them and have a review. Thanks

I don't know a lot about suspension but I would think anything is better then a blown set of shocks and struts? Am I wrong?

Also does the coil determine the ride height? Not the shock?

Yes. Re-use your springs if you want. ut DO buy new strut mounts (the top part that bolts into top of car) and possibly bump stops (mine were oily and breaking apart). Google for reviews on Sensen. You can also check online to see if KYB makes a fairly priced strut for the BMW, they are a reputable brand.
