Moog control arms

So, I'll be ordering a set of FCAs for my 323I this week. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with Moog control arms? Or Mevotech? The Moogs are $76 a piece and the Mevotechs come with bushings for $88 a piece. That's a pretty good price compared to other vendors, so I figured it's worth seeing if anyone has used them. I don't mind spending a bit more for Lemforder or Meyle. But if I can save some money while still getting a quality product I would like to do that.

I've never heard of those brands. Stick with what's known and trusted so you won't have to do the job twice. Lemforder would be my first choice, then Meyle.

Moog is well known for making quality OE replacement suspension parts for domestic brands, I just don't know if anyone has used them on imports. I know people who have used Moog on their domestics with no problems.

But I think I'm going to look into Meyle as well.

Moog is a very old brand, Moog professional is higher level then Mevotech. I have used Moog, never had an issue.

Mevotech, well I have used the Supreme level parts for the SAABs and the Z cars. Solid metal ball joints. Some stuff now has lifetime warranty.

Both Companies have different tiers/level stuff.

I've had some experience with Moog suspension parts, especially on my retired Acura RL and Nissan Maxima. They are considered a good aftermarket brand for many American and Japanese cars. As a matter of fact, I have a pair of Moog front end links on my 330Ci right now and so far they have performed flawlessly for the past 20K+ miles. The good thing I like about Moog is their lifetime warranty and most of their stuff are beefier than OE parts. I have no experience with Mevotech though.

I'm seriously considering getting them then.

Yeah, I read some reviews for Mevotech for other vehicles, but couldn't find any reviews for BMWs.

I guess I'll take a gamble and give the Moogs a try. If they are as good as or better than OE quality, it'll be a good deal. If not, then it's a lesson learned.

I'm going to order them from Rockauto tomorrow.
MOOG Part # RK80527 for $75.79 and MOOG Part # RK80528 for $78.79.
As well as Meyle HD FCABs from oembimmerparts.com.

Hopefully shipping isn't too bad.
