Exclamation Hand brake problems

So I own a 2004 330ci and what I've noticed about my car is that when I pull my handbrake whenever I park, the higher I pull it up; the harder it is to put it back down. One day I pulled it as far up as I could because I was on a hill and when I was ready to leave and had to push the handbrake back down, I had to put my entire weight on it just to make it go down. Does anyone have this problem or know how to fix it?

I don't think this is an issue, I think youre just ripping the parking brake way too hard. Once you put it up, you have to pull it a bit higher to release it. I'm assuming youre just pulling it too high to be able to do that.
