Quick Assistance!! Could something be wrong?

My 01 330i Msport

w/ aFe CAI, TMS underdrive pulleys, Borla cat back, fully maintained through 200k miles, all fluid changed w/ redline, always royal purple full synth oil every 3k, and with only 90k miles on her...

AND I CANT DO A FLIPPIN BURNOUT ANYMORE!?!?!?

I'm not a chump... Lol, DCS was fully off (held for 8 sec). I have done plenty of burnouts, although it is very infrequent.

So I foolishly went to show off with my little bro in the car, rev'd to 4k rpm and dropped the clutch... Only to have the car go as if DCS was still activated I tried a few times after activating/deactivating DCS and still got the same response.

I would really appreciate any feedback on this issue for I fear that there may be a more serious (or less serious) problem that has arose. It's less about "burnouts" and more about the health of my car. Any ideas?

Fry up some bacon in a large frying pan, save grease.

Enjoy bacon.

Later, smear bacon grease on tires. Enjoy burnout !!!

Good luck,

I'm serious guys, something isn't normal and I just want to know if anyone has heard of this or experienced it.

I can't figure out why I could before, but all of a sudden I can't... I've been researching for hours and I am assuming that it could have to do with the cdv.

Rob, I've read a lot of your stuff and you appear incredibly knowledgable. I'm not incompetent so please don't make that assumption. I took your advice, btw, about ground control coils. After doing extensive research and reading many reviews I decided to purchase. So, in all seriousness, could you help me at all?

Of course I'm just kidding around.....

First, I'm not sure if you have 200K or 90K on your Bimmer ?
Next, assuming that you are doing everything thing right, it sounds like the early stages of a clutch problem. How old is the (OE ?) clutch ?

I have 90k miles on her with the cdv still installed. The oe clutch has 90k, it feels like it engages nearly perfect though.

Remove the CDV the next time you plan a day to do things to your Bimmer.

Adjust your tire pressure between 38 to 40 psi.

Slightly unrelated, change these parts if you haven't:

1) Fuel filter
2) NGK BKR7EIX
3) 2 Cans of BG 44K fuel injector cleaner
4) Oil change after you're done with the BG

Good luck,
Rob43
