330ci VS 2003 Mustange
This guy where I hang out always comes up to me to ask to race.
How would I do? 330ci 225Hp-214T stang 260Hp-300t Or has anyone ever races one before. Thanks

Just going by the numbers, my guess is that you would lose. But give it a shot, see how your car stacks up, and make sure the road is 100% clear of all traffic and pedestrians. By the way, your car is a manual, right?

yes it's a manual.
The HP is not what I'm worried about it's that torque that will blow me out of the water. because I do well against g35 coupe's

No you wont, I have a 330xi auto and only lost by 3/4 car length to 60 mph. you should be able to beat him

I had a 2003 GT, It was a loaded coupe with leather. So it was heavy. Bone stock it ran 14.0@99mph.
I added a few things like gears, exhaust, pulleys and CAI. It ran 13.6@103 in 90 degree heat. Stock radial tires. Good luck!

You should lose to the '03 GT....unless he spins like crazy at launch, misses a shift, or can't drive.
Race him anyway, just to see how your car would do. It can't hurt. He's got 50% more displacement than you so you're already the underdog and if he does win, its not going to be by bus lengths. As far as the 15.2 qrtr mile time on a '93 Cobra - somebody's numbers aren't up to par - or their grandmother was driving to get those times. A more realistic time would be about 14.2-14.4. Simple mods like removing the air silencer, putting in a K&N filter and bumping the timing will keep those times in the lower end of the spectrum. I would expect a stock '93 Cobra to be running in the low 14's so it should be a good match for a 330. |

Come on guys. I had a brand new 90 lx 5.0 loaded. It ran 14.2@99 all day long , bone stock.
A 93 Cobra is the same motor(sans forged pistons) with better flowing gt-40 heads, crane roller rockers, cobra intake and larger mass air. They run in the 13's in stock config! Add a 3k blower and it is a 12 sec car. port the heads and intake, get a blower cam, larger injectors, larger fuel pump and it is an 11 sec car. Those 302 respond so well to mods because they come so detuned. The 4.6 motors making 260hp are alot more optimized and all the mods I made only accounted for a few HP. If you took the stock FI off the cobra, put a victor jr and a 750 holley carb. Change the cam It would run high 11's with a slick. I have done it and drove one daily in my youth.

I take my friends manual GT with Steeda springs and X pipes. And i'm sporting a 325ci with not much power compared to a 330. But if the mustang has got on all the normal bolt-ons, like gears, intake, exhaust, and all that other ****, it'll take you in a str8 line.

I have a 330i with 19s and i beat a mustang gt from 0 to 90 he will get you off the start then after that you should be able to take off on him and win by like the nose of your car it was a close race but you should win cause its a ci and i have a sedan goodluck give it a shot though

You guys beating these GT's have to pay attention to the year of the GT. Unless you have some serious mods or the GT driver sucks, I doubt you are beating any '99 or newer GT's.
