PPL who has changed there Transmission Oil, how many Qrts to use?

And which Red Line Oil?? The D4 ATF or Synthetic ATF????

My Ride: '01 M3 cab, '90 325i
1.1 quarts of Redline D4ATF (works on manual trannies too). You basically fill the tranny until it overflows.

My Ride: 2002-325ci
1.1 quart or 1.3 litre.
And i would go under the car, look at the transmission housing and towards the passenger door there will be a red or orange label.(not a dot but a red or orange label)and this will say Automatic tranny fluid or Manual Tranny fluid(ATF/MTF).
Basically the color of the label is red for ATF and Orange for MTF.
My 97 manual 328i had a red label (indicating ATF)whilist my current car has a orange label indicating MTF.

    he..he topaz good point and a cheater bar is recommended. Those drain and fill plugs are sealed tight 50 NM (i think).
