Need an extra key

I just got my 2001 E46 convertible. It only came with one key. Where is the best place to get a second one?

Here, email a pic of your tittle and ID. Not cheap but less than walking into a dealer. Mine was about $150 shipped. https://thebmwminipartstore.com/part...&siteid=218365 you'll still have to sync it to your locks but that's easy.

Check you local dealer if you have one close by, if they sell you the key for $160 or less, you can go with them, otherwise the link above I think the key is around $156 last I was aware.

You will need to re-sync BOTH keys together once you get new key.

Maybe get one for the remote locking, but that's about it. You should always have 2 diamond keys, the key lock is weak.

Where can I find that key on the site w/o the part number, 66126955748. After entering make, model and year and searching for "key" I still don't see that specific item.

To clarify, is the link provided the remote diamond key fob? Why do some people say you have to send one key and your EWS to get it done but thebmwminipartstore doesn't?

Also, is there an online option for Canadians? The linked provider doesn't ship internationally.
