Will an old Alpine CD changer (CHM-S600) work with E46?
I have an old Alpine CD changer. The model # is CHM-S600. I think it was their first CD changer. I purchased it in 1995 and it still works like a charm. I remember reading that BMW used the Alpine changer in their cars in 1995 also.
So, I'm wondering; will this trusty changer work with the E46? Let me know, Rays |

I dont think it will because the model # is a CHM and not a CHA(Ai-net). BMW uses alpines as OEM changers but the plugs are totally different. The other reason why I dont think it will work is because the interface adapter (BMWPILA) uses a pioneer changer... There are other interface adapters out there, blitzsafe and soundgate, that you might wanna check out.
