My 2003 325i over heated and engine is dead, sell-able?

Hi, do you think anyone would want to buy a 2003 BMW 325i with a burned out engine? A new engine would cost about $3000. The rest of the car is in good condition. Or should I just donate it to charity?

Thank you for your input.

Throw it on the for sale forums here as a parts car or a roller. You may get some interest. Try your local Craigslist, too - I've sold a few rollers over the years that way. If you aren't interested in waiting/haggling to get $1000 or less, just call up the kidney foundation and they'll haul it away for you.

Really? Is this you that is interested for $500?

Looks promising. I have the original Business CD and speakers that came with the car. But I installed an audiophile grade pioneer DEH-80PRS with new speakers and an Alpine Amp with Subwoofer (in the trunk). It has bluetooth for the phone hooked up and working, and I liked the two USB wires in glove box for music on USB sticks. A New DEH-80PRS would be $350 seen here (the web page also shows all the specs features):

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...vers/DEH-80PRS

but a used one on ebay sold for $150 which would be fair I think.

The performance Michelin tires I just got before it died from Costco.

About 147,000 miles on it.
I bought it new myself back in 2003. Spent a lot of time in my garage in Colorado as I worked from home. And most of the miles were long distance travel between CO and Los Angeles but since the engine is dust I guess that doesn't matter.

I have all maintenance records and original window sticker and a copy of my check I wrote to buy it in full. The both L&R front air bags are new from the recall maintenance. The recall of the tail lights wiring was fixed too.

It is in Woodland Hills, CA.

You would have to tow it away.

What do you think, Mango? DM me if you like.
