where did you get your borla? How much was it?

Do you drive a stick shift?

I'd say go for Dinan Stage 2. I recently got it and I'm very happy with it so far. You can email me if you want more detailed info on my experince with it.

i heard the conforti one is good... but the thing i like about dinan is that its fully backed by BMW... meaning if anything goes wrong its still under warranty... and i like that a lot... but i also heard the conforti "injector" is cake to bring back to the stock settings... i dunno i say go with dinan for no headaches...

I have the Shark Injector, with the ECIS and it works great. You can always restore the car back to stock if you need to make a trip to the dealer. If you drive a 5 speed, you'll notice the increase powerband across the RPM's and it pulls much better, a huge improvement in 4th gear. Let me know if you have other questions.

Just to clarify, the Dinan ECU upgrade is not backed by BMW at all. In fact, it voids that part of your warranty. However, Dinan, a reputable tuner for many years, gives you a warranty from them to cover the loss of your BMW warranty. So your ECU and stuff is then warrantied by Dinan, not BMW.

BTW pimpinge46, I have a 323 Ci with Dinan Carbon Fibre CAI and a UUC TSE. I also have the Dinan Stage 2 upgrade. The car definitely pulls much harder now and revs much more freely. I love ripping up through the 5 gears (yeah mine is a stick-shift like yours). From my experience, the Dinan ECU upgrade is well worth it... but the Shark is very comparable and can be reset back to stock for trips to the dealer, etc. Both will give you pretty much the same amount of increased power, and I can't give you an exact figure just because of the OBD-II functionality in our cars.

good luck with whatever you decide!

peace

It is the same as a Shark, but it has the BavAuto logo and stuff on it. That's what I've heard anyways...

guys.. i gotta a question for you..
do you think I could use the software upgrade from the US (I live in Australia)? FYI we have 98 octane fuel here, and I've had experience with my Nissan Silvia S14 last time where I can't use a computer I bought from Japan...

anyone can verify? thanks!!!

Hrmm... good question. Well, Clem uses the Dinan ECU upgrade and he lives in Canada. But Canada and US are practically the same...
