Polish joke (I'm Polish so its ok) ;-)

A telephone company was looking to hire a group of guys for a job lining up telephone poles. One group was Irish and the other group was Polish. So there would be a competition and the group that lined up the most poles would get the contract. The Irish group went first. After 3 hours they returned and when asked how many they did, they replied "We did 6 poles." Not bad. Well, 6 hours went by and the Polish group finally returned. When asked how many poles they did, they replied "We did 3 poles." The guy deciding who will get the job said "Only 3 poles!!! the Irish guys did 6 poles in half the time!!!" The Polish guys responded with "Yea, but did you see how much of the pole they left sticking out of the ground?"

my turn

Guy goes into the store, asks the man behind the counter for a pound of Polish sausage. The man says to the customer - "are you Polish?"

Outraged, the customer says - "Why are you asking me if I'm Polish? If I asked for Italian Sausage, would you ask if I was Italian? Or if I asked for Bratwurst, if I was German?"

the man behind the counter says - "No - I asked if you were Polish because this is the Home Depot."
