Valentine-1. End of story.
Jammers are technically illegal and I think some others have posted regarding that laser/jammer. If it was not here, check Pelican Parts in the 911 thread.

V1 hardwired, convenient, stealth than any other brands (unless custom) and just as effective as others if not better in range.
Those rebate on tickets dont really interest me at all, after all it's more about the insurence points hike than the price of the ticket. |

No more E46 :(

V1 is nice and all but I get so much false alarms (even in the Advanced-logic mode) that I just turn it off when I drive in the city.

Sounds like a V1 religion.
I have an 8500 and it too, works great, also 100 dollars less. Check out the various threads; people here generally favor the V! but few have had both. Also, check out the "independent" tests on other sites. Both work well, that we know. |

V1 no doubt, i just got mine last week and all i can say is that its worth every single penny. The Escort is very good but cant touch the V1 cause it lacks the locating arrows which make the difference when compared to any radar detector. $400 is a good amount of dollars but once you live with the arrows you will wonder how you manage to live without them.

Are you crazy? Everytime this topic comes up the final record ratio is out of 10 radars 8 are V1s and 2 are Escorts.

You can program the V-1 to not pick up X band which is rarely used by the police and is the common grocery door openner band. Just drive around a bit and figure out what the cops are using and then program out the X band. I just push the button and silence the beeping when in major X band areas and it chirps once everytime it adds a new signal.
