Sat radio for 6/2003 M3 with NAV?

What is latest view on the future availability of a Sirius retrofit for late 2003 MY M3's with Nav? I know it is not currently available but will it be or will it only be for 2004 cars with Nav.

should I wait or do I need to look at aftermarket installations for the ashtray/ aux input or something?

I had the same question and my dealer said the "firmware" upgrade to allow compatibility of the 03's with Nav will be available in the "2nd quarter" of 04.. I'm keeping in touch and will post if it moves from rumor-to-reality. I have it in my home system now and its pure pleasure.

Just saw a 330 ZHP with Nav and Sirius at the dealer today. They said it was the first one they had gotten in. I asked them about retrofitting it into my MY03 M3 (9/2002) and they did not know.

I have a 2002 M3 w/ NAV (10/01 build date), is there any hope of upgrading firmware to the 2004?

I really want to add Sirius but don't want to use an FM modulator.

Any other ways of adding an aux input or tying it directly into the amplifier?

Thanks!

David
