Offset of Breyton Inspiration 17 x 8.5" - 38 or 44? - for 2002 E46 318i
On the Breyton Inspiration 17 x 8.5 inch wheel, what is the difference between the offset 38 and 44 for my BMW 325i E46? Which would fit better? I believe the offset 38 is same with BBS and 45 offset will push the wheels inwards.
According to http://www.breyton.de/e_wheelslist.htm Inspiration have offset of 38 or 44 and both say will fit on E46. do anyone know the difference between the 2 offsets? I want the offset that will fit the best on my stock E46. thanks a lot for your advices!!! |

EIther would fit your car. The 38mm will give it a more aggressive look (pushing the wheels further out to the fenders), and the 44mm will "tuck" in the wheels further in, allowing bigger tires to be mounted. The disadvantage of the 38mm is that if you lower the car, you may rub the fenders and thus you will need to roll them.
Personally, I would go with the 44mm as it allows more flexibility to mount larger tires and avoid fender rolling. |

Hi Cal,
Thanks for your comments. I was thinking the same thing, that the offset 44 will allow me to lower my car in furture without worring about the fenders. Thanks again! |
