Installing CD changer... where do I get the power?

I'm going to put my Pionner CD changer in soon. Where do I tap into for power? Do I go straight to the battery? or is there anywhere else in the trunk where I can tap power? Also... what size fuse do I need?

thanks

sam

(+) can come right from a battery if you want...

you can ground (-) anywhere there is exposed metal.

You should check the CD-Changer manual to determine what size fuse you shoudl be using.

I'm looking for the Positive voltage. Or does the power come from the BMWPILA adapter? The adapter should be arriving in the mail today. I want to make sure I have everything before I install.

I don't have the manuals for the cd changer anymore. I bought it over 4 years ago. The cd-changer is from my old car. Would I be okay with a 1 amp fuse?

If you are using the Peripheral adapter and the changer is compatible, there is no need to run power, assuming you are using the factory pre wire. It's basically plug-n-play

but 1 amp fuse seems too small.
